Show features in Shopify confirmation email

Question​

> The configuration features are not displayed in the Shopify confirmation email. How can I display them?

Answer​

The characteristics are transferred to Shopify as Line Item Properties. To display these in the confirmation email, the email template must be adapted.

Liquid code for the email template​

Insert the following code at the point where the item details are displayed:

Where do I insert the code?​

  1. In Shopify, go to Settings → Notifications
  2. Select the Order confirmation (or other relevant email)
  3. Find the place where items are displayed (usually in a loop above line_items)
  4. Insert the code block there
Tip for your agency

There are often several places in the email template that look as if articles are output there. You have to find the correct place - your agency or a Shopify expert can do this quickly.

What is displayed?​

After customization, all configuration features are displayed as a list below the article, e.g:

  • Width: 120 cm
  • Height: 80 cm
  • Color: RAL 7016
