How do I set up K3?

You can set up as many configurators as you like with K3 on a trial basis. A license is required for each configurator. We’ll provide you with a

Enterprise
license for 30 days free of charge for testing purposes, with no need to provide your credit card information.

As an agency, you can use K3 to build configurators for your clients. You will then have full access to your clients’ data.

Registration​

  • Go to https://k3.objectcode.de/app/#/admin/register
  • Enter your email address, phone number, and desired password. Click on
    Loading...
    to create your user profile.
  • You’ll receive an email with a confirmation link. We use this to verify your email address. Follow the link.
  • You won’t be able to log in until you’ve done this. If you did not receive the email, click on
    Loading...
    .
  • Clicking the link confirms your email address. You will be logged in immediately and taken directly to K3—you do not need to log in again.

A API-Token and the connection to a store also require a verified email address.

Your First Configurator​

  • After successful registration, you will be automatically redirected to the Setup Wizard.
  • The interactive wizard guides you step by step through the creation of your first configurator:
    • Select the visualization type (3D, images, or form)
    • Select the layout and design
    • Live preview of your configurator during the configuration process
  • Optionally, you can use the AI Assistant, which automatically creates a suitable configurator for your product by asking targeted questions.
  • Once your configurator is created, a short checklist will guide you through the remaining steps to completion.

Registration​

  • After creating your configurator, you can use a K3 Enterprise license free of charge for 30 days.
  • Once the 30 days have expired, you will no longer be able to use the configurator.
  • However, you can purchase a license at any time by clicking on

  • You can now choose between monthly and annual payment plans.
  • Select your license:
    • Basic: Allows you to fully set up a 3D configurator. However, you cannot display prices or connect to a store. You’ll receive inquiries via email with a PDF attachment.
    • Pro: In addition to the Basic features, this includes price calculation, integration with stores and the use of dynamic 3D models.
      Pro
    • Enterprise: In addition to the Pro license, this allows access to K3 via APIs.

  • In the next step, provide your payment information to our payment service provider.
  • Payments will then be processed during the selected billing period.
  • Done!

The former entry-level Starter license is no longer available for purchase. If you are already using it, you will retain it and can continue to renew it.

What happens after the license expires?​

Important: Data deletion after license expiration

If your license expires and you do not renew it, your data will not be deleted immediately.

After your purchased license expires, the following policy applies:

  • 30-day grace period: After the license expires (bookedUntil date), your configurator data will remain accessible for 30 days.
  • Email alerts: You will receive automatic email notifications.
  • Automatic deletion: After the 30-day grace period expires, all of your data will be permanently deleted.

Note: If you have purchased multiple configurators, this policy applies to each configurator individually.
