Can I download a 3D model?
Yes, it is possible to export 3D models from the configurator. There are several ways to access the 3D models, depending on the use case and authorization.
Download directly in the AdminPanel
The simplest method for administrators: The current 3D model can be downloaded directly in the AdminPanel under "Tools ". This function is available to all users with the appropriate authorizations.
Download via the order list
If "Save 3D model with " is activated for an order action, the operator can subsequently download the saved model in the order list for the respective configuration. This is particularly useful for post-processing customer orders.
Access by e-mail (for customers)
Customers can download 3D models directly via an e-mail link. This works by default if "Save 3D model with " is activated for an order action.
- Create a special order button
- Create another "Order" button → Wie kann ich eine E-Mail mit PDF verschicken?
- Activate "Save 3D model with" for this button
- Configure a "Customer" email for this button
- Extend e-mail template: In the customer mail (Options > Mail > cfg-customer) you can insert the following snippet to provide the download link:
{# --- 3D Modell Verlinkung, wenn vorhanden --- #}
{% set scene = attribute(cfg.files, '3d-scene') %}
{% if scene is defined and scene %}
<p>
Hier können Sie das 3D Modell Ihrer Konfiguration aufrufen:
</p>
{% set url = scene.url is defined ? scene.url : (scene[0] is defined ? scene[0] : scene) %}
{{ include("cta", { url: url, label: "3D-Modell herunterladen" }) }}
{% endif %}
If a 3D model has been created, a link labeled "Download 3D model" appears in the email sent, which can be used to download the model.
If not all customers should have this option - for example if internal employees do not have access to the configurator but should be able to access the 3D models - then you can use the new Bestellaktion dynamisch ausblenden
