How do I connect my store?

To enable K3 to connect to your store, you need to install a plugin in your store. We offer ready-made plugins for these stores:

  1. Connection: An app can be installed from the store of the store system can be installed. A plugin must be downloaded and installed on-premise.

  2. Shopping cart: The parts list calculated by the configurator can be placed 1:1 in the shopping cart Shopping cart. To do this, the article numbers in the configurator must exactly match those in the store. The buyer can change this parts list in the shopping cart.

  3. Combined: A new article is created in the store for each order and the entire parts list is combined in it. The item is given the correct price, a description and a picture. It is then placed in the Shopping cart.

  4. Nested: Only the item marked as the main item from the Parts list of the configurator is placed in the shopping cart. All other Items are stored underneath, generally invisible to the user.

  5. Article import: Articles can be imported from the store into the configurator can be imported.

  6. Article filter: Search criteria can be specified during import, in which case not all articles are imported into the configurator.

  7. SKU: Article numbers are supported.

  8. Shopify uses the product IDs by default. The use of of the optional SKUs can be switched on.

  9. Multi: Several configurators of the same K3 client can be connected to the same shop Store can be connected.

In addition, K3 offers open interfaces, so you can also program a individuelle Anbindung program (or have one programmed).

When you connect the plugin to the K3, security tokens are stored on both sides so that communication is protected. The K3 can then read articles from your store, place a finished configuration in the shopping cart and record the purchase of a configuration.

Connect store and K3​

Do you use Shopify? - Take a look at hier.

  • Open the editor of your configurator.
  • Click on
    Loading...
    in the sidebar.
  • Switch to the Shop tab.
  • Click on
    Loading...
    for the store system of your choice.
  • Install the downloaded plugin in your store.
  • Take a look at the plugin options and set them as required.
  • Click on
    Loading...
    in the store system of your choice.
  • Now enter the web address of the shop (for individueller Anbindung the address of the plugin).
  • Normally, activate Should the articles be imported from the store?.
  • Some stores offer the option of combining items into a single order.
  • Click on
    Loading...
    .
  • The import may take a moment. You will then receive a success message.

Create shopping cart button.​

The store is now connected to the K3. The next step is to ensure that the correct items end up in the shopping cart. K3 keeps a parts list for this purpose. Read hier to find out how to control this. When you have finished setting up the article rules, continue here:

  • Open the editor of your configurator.
  • Click on
    Loading...
    in the sidebar.
  • Click on the pencil icon on the block containing the price and order buttons
  • Here you can create and maintain order buttons. Either use the existing one or click on
    Loading...
    to create a new one.
  • Check the Send to shop box
  • Usually remove all other checkmarks.
  • Click on

  • Try out an order: After clicking on the Order button, a summary opens. In the next step, your store opens in a new window and the desired items are in the shopping cart.

When the user clicks on this new shopping cart button, the configuration is placed in the store's shopping cart and the shopping cart is displayed.

Programmatic shopping cart connection with Iframe​

If the configurator is already embedded in the store with Web Component or IFrame, opening the shopping cart may not be desired may not be desired.

In this case, the configuration can be transferred to the store invisibly for the user.
