Analyze dependencies of a feature
The dependencies viewer shows which other characteristics influence a certain characteristic - either via validity rules or via calculation formulas either via validity rules or via calculation formulas. It helps to quickly identify and rectify problems in rules and calculations.
When is it displayed?
The dependency viewer opens in two situations:
- Manual: Click on the dependency icon (chain link) in the header of a feature.
- Automatically: In the AdminPanel, it can be opened if a conflict has occurred - i.e. if the current configuration is in an invalid state.
What is displayed?
The viewer lists all features that directly influence the selected feature:
| area | content |
|---|---|
| Linked by rules | Validity rules that restrict this feature, with link to the respective rule |
| Formula | Calculation formula, if the feature has a calculated value |
| Current values | Min/max limits and the currently valid value of the feature |
| Used in | Note if this characteristic appears in the formula of another characteristic |
An arrow → opens the viewer for the respective dependent characteristic so that you can trace the dependency chain step by step
Dependency chain step by step.
