Show item description when selecting

Question

> I would like to display the item description when the customer selects a certain value. Depending on the selection, a different text should appear.

Answer

This can be implemented via the "Display information " action.

Step-by-step instructions

1. Click on "Rules " in the sidebar of the configurator editor on the left.

2. Click on "New action rule " at the top right.

3. Enter a name, e.g. "Show item description" and click on "Create rule".

4. Click on "Characteristics " on the right. Select the feature whose values are to control the display and click on "Ok".

5. Click on "Add action " on the right. Select the action "Display information ".

6. You now have a rule table in front of you. You can enter the appropriate text for each characteristic value in the Information field.

7. Create rows by clicking on "Select values" and selecting the desired values.

8. Enter the texts: You can enter a separate description for each value.

Result

As soon as the customer selects a specific value, the corresponding information appears automatically in the configurator.

Formatting possible

You can also use HTML in the information field to format texts, insert links or display images.
